Alder E. "Al" Abraham, age 84, died on Monday December 11, 2006, at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born on July 29, 1922, in Fond du Lac, WI. the son of Edward and Adele Kleist Abraham. On December 11, 1943, he married Jeanette C. Jorgenson in Fond du Lac. As he reminded everyone, he served 5 Years 4 Months, 18 Days in the Army during WWII. He retired in 1986 as President and Treasurer of a local structural steel firm, Vulcan Manufacturing Company. He retired to the Kissimmee, Florida area where he was very active playing his favorite game, golf, with friends and family. He devoted his last years to caring for his wife until her passing in 2004. Ironically he passed away on what would have been their 63rd Wedding Anniversary day.
SURVIVORS: Two sons, James E. (Judith) Abraham of Mesquite, NV, Richard L. (Christine) Abraham of Fond du Lac, one brother, Albert (Virginia) Abraham of Wheeling, IL, six grandchildren,
Jeffery Abraham of Groveland, FL., James M. Abraham of Columbus, GA, Jill Koroi, of Kissimmee, FL, Julie Abraham of Milwaukee, WI, Lynn Abraham of Fond du Lac, and Michael Abraham of Phoenix, AZ, and seven Great-Grandchildren, Sam, Kiera, Joyce, Amanda, Becky, Joshua, and Kyle.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 Years, a sister, and five brothers.
Funeral Information
Visitation for Mr. Alder E. "Al" Abraham will be on Friday, December 15, 2006, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday December 16, 2006, at 10 am at the funeral home. The Rev. David Lieske will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed towards Alzheimer's research.
