24, of Route 3. Edgefield Highway
died Thursday at her residence.
The funeral will be held at 3 p m
today at the Second Baptist Church
with the Rev M C Adams officiating
Burial will be in the Jessamine Memorial Gardens.
Miss Abney was a native of Saluda.
S C and a 1972 graduate of Aiken High
School She attended Gardner-Webb
College Boiling Springs. N C and was
a member of the Second Baptist Junior
Usher Board She was a hospital
volunteer at the Aiken Community
Hospital.
Survivors include her parents Mr.
and Mrs Sam M Abney,one sister,
Miss Shirley Abney Aiken two brothers,
Samuel 0. Abney James C Abney,
Aiken, her maternal grandfather,
John D Littlejohn of Gaffney SC
and her paternal grandfather Luther
Abney Saluda.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Minck,
Leroy Johnson Jr. Woodrow Sweeney
Jr. Theodore Peoples, Michael Tolliver
and LeGree Hallman.
Friends may call at Jackson-Brooks
Funeral Home from 9 a m today until
1 p m and then at the church until the
