POWELLS CROSSROADS, TN - Johnny Ray Ables, 63, died Friday, August 13, 2010. He was employed at Signal Mountain Cement for 43 years and was a Vietnam Veteran, U. S. Army.


Preceding him in death was his father, James Henry Ables; brothers Jim and Pete Ables; niece, Terri Ables.


Survivors include wife, Carolyn Ables; daughters, Donna (Jason) Morrison, Tracy (Lee) Campbell; three grandchildren, Logan, Trent and Emma Grace Campbell; mother, Dorothy Griffith Ables; brothers, Darrell (Barbara) Ables, Wayland (Reba) Ables; sister, Susie Masters; sisters-in-law, Linda and Betty Ables, all of Powells Crossroads, TN, Anita Bennett, Las Vegas, NV, Yvonne Blevins, Douglasville, GA, Sue Billingsley, Jasper, TN; several nieces and nephews.


Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Cecil Baxter and Brad Davis officiating.


Burial will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden.


Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home, 11657 Highway 28, Whitwell, TN.

Visitation: noon-9 p.m. CDT today.
