She was born Feb. 26, 1888, at Brillion, a daughter of Theodore and Katherine Fink Broehm. She was married to Frank Abitz at Brillion on May 2, 1908. Mrs. Abitz was a member of Church of Peace.
Surviving are seven sons, Harold of Route 1, Wilmer, Raymond, Victor, Lester and Leonard all of the city and Leroy of Eldorado; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Stenback of Route 5, Lamartine; and 44 grandchildren. Also surviving are 60 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three brothers, Arvin Broehm of Chilton, William Broehm of Hilbert and Harry Broehm of Stockbridge; and a sister, Mrs. Nora Hernke of Milwaukee.
. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 13, 1964, and also a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at Church of Peace with Rev. Martin Koehler and the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. Friends may call after 2pm Friday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at the church from 9:30am Saturday until the time of services.

Funeral services for Mrs Clara Abitz, who died Wednesday were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Peace. The Rev. Martin Koehler officiated with Mrs. Watson Waehler as organist and Miss Inge Staumers as vocalist.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Raymond Abitz Jr., Lester Abitz Jr., LeRoy Abitz Jr., Harold Abitz Jr., Wilmer Abitz Jr., and Clifford Lang. Burial was in Estabrooks Cemetery.
