Barbara G. Abeyta, age 87, was born on October 21, 1915 in Albuquerque where she was a lifelong resident. Barbara passed away peacefully on October 13, 2003. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Leonardo "Lenny" Abeyta and daughter, Evangelina Abeyta. Barbara is survived by her eleven children, Leo Abeyta, Rosella Otero and her husband, Kenneth, Lillian Romero and her husband, Moses, Barbara L. Abeyta, Betty Bueno and her husband, Anastacio, Shirley Abeyta-Herrera and her husband, Ben, Jane Garcia and her husband, Michael, Hilda Padilla and her husband, Juan, Fred Abeyta and his wife, Petra, Judy Abeyta and her husband, Rick Dubois and Joseph Abeyta and his wife Joann; 25 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Garcia and numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A graveside service will be held at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, on Arenal SW, west of Coors Blvd., on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. "Good Luck on Your Journey".
