. Delman C. Aber, 92, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at his residence.
. He was born in Highland County on Jan.10, 1916, the son of the late Ezekiel and Sarah E. (Burton) Aber.
. He owned and operated Abe's Used Cars for 60 years. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ.
. He was united in marriage on Oct. 8, 1938 to Verna Mae (Charles) Aber, who died Feb. 21, 1994.
. He was also preceded in death by three sons, James, Jerry, and Kenneth Aber; two daughters, June Ann Aber and Joyce Aber; one great-granddaughter, Brandi Nichols; four brothers, Zeke, Oscar, Norris and Norman Aber; and two sisters, Edna Newkirk and Gladys Bowen.
. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Sarah Aber, of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Mike Aber, Brenda (Jerry) Crouch, Randy (Beth) Aber, Diane (Chad) Schultheis, and Mark (Connie) Aber; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene Paul and Bessie Aber, of Hillsboro; and one sister, Mildred Meddock, of Hillsboro.
. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Mike Free officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery.
. Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
