She was preceded in death by: her parents, Garland Vaughn and Easer Aloise White Patterson; a brother, Charles Edward Patterson; and a grandson, Brandon Abell.
Survivors include: her husband, Thomas M. "Tom" Abell of Lebanon; three sons, Joe (Julie) Abell of Stafford, Vir., Eugene (Dana) Abell and Jamie (Stephanie) Abell, both of Lebanon; two daughters, Sissy (Joe Marion) Blandford of St. Francis and Wanda (Ray) Meade of Ashland; three brothers, James, Doyle and David Patterson, all of Greensburg; seven sisters, Gerald Young, Kaye Bonta, Faye Wright, Brenda Dial and Karen Davenport, all of Greensburg, Elizabeth Ann Smothers of Elizabethtown and Linda Davis of Louisville; and 12 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in St. Augustine Church Cemetery. Rev. Pablo Hernandez officiated with Deacon Joe Dant assisting.
Pallbearers were Tom Abell, Wanda Meade, Joe Abell, Eugene Abell, Sissy Blandford and Jamie Abell.
