Elizabeth Calomese Tucker was born to Dabney and Jane (Coppage) Tucker, near St. Mary, Washington (now Marion) County, KY.
Elizabeth married Peter Abell, 1809-1880, son of Pollard and Elizabeth (_____) Abell, and widower of Nancy (Abell) Abell on August 17, 1845 in Marion County, KY.
She and Peter were the parents of 10 children. She was step-mother to his five children ranging in age from the four year old twins to 11 years of age at the time of her marriage. Peter drowned in the Rolling Fork River in November 1880 on their farm on the McElroy Pike. Elizabeth comtinued to live there the 35 years of her widowhood.
She is buried in Ryder Cemetery on Colgan's Hill on the east side of Lebanon, KY. Her death certificate #31097 said she died in St. Mary, KY at the age of 88 years, one month, and three days of senility and that contributing cause of her death was the fact that she had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, with partial paralysis three years earlier. This certificate was signed by Dr. E. Kelly in Lebanon, KY. Dina Collins, Lebanon, KY, the informant said she was a farmer and listed C. U. Bosley as the undertaker. She was buried in Ryder Cemetery on Dec. 10, 1915.
