Albert Abel, husband of the late Bertha, father of Florence and Jerry, brother of Sadie Abel and the late Fred and Jack Abel, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 31, at the age of sixty five years. He was a life long resident of this city. Funeral services were held at Deutsch's Chapel, on Friday, Feb. 1. Interment was at Mayfield Cemetery. Rabbi Sherman officiated. Pallbearers were Richard Abel, Robert Garson, James Riegelhurst, Carol Stone, Adolph Einstein and Theodore Schwarz.

1920 US Census shows Albert, age 50, born Ohio living with wife Bertha, age 49; daughter Florence K., age 17; son Jerome N., age 12 both born Ohio. Albert's parents born Germany per census.

Note: 1900 Census shows Able and Bertha newly married and living with Bertha's sister Rosa Heineman and family and having been born Germany, 1910 Census shows Bertha born Germany, 1920 Census shows Bertha born Ohio (obviously an error).
