DEATH OF ORPHA ABBOT
----------
The said death of little Orpha Abbott occurred Sunday night at 12:30 o'clock, after an illness of four weeks. The little girl, who was 12 years of age, had been badly afflicted with rheumatism, which developed into complications and finally resulted in her death. She had never been considered dangerously ill until the very last as the complications were thought to be only a minor character, and that rheumatism was her main trouble. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott, who reside at 901 E. Maple street. She was always an industrious child and one who took much interest in her school work, always making friends, who will miss her in their play. The funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Glendenning officiating.

Orpha Alberta Abbott

The death of Orpha Alberta Abbott occurred Sunday night about 12 o'clock at the home, 901 E. Maple St. She had been sick about four weeks with rheumatism, to which she was subject at times. It afflicted her heart and resulted in her death. She realized during her sickness that the end might be fatal, but was patient and resigned. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Abbott, and was 12 years, 8 months and 10 days old. She was a bright little girl, in the 7th grade at school, in Mrs. Campbell's room. She took much interest in her school work. She was a member of the Methodist Sunday School in the class taught by Misses Campbell and Tuthill. She became a member of the Methodist church while the family lived at Moravia, being baptised a year ago Easter. She leaves besides her parents, a brother, Orval, aged 15. During the recent revival services at the Methodist and Christian churches she took much interest in attending, being present almost every night till she was taken sick.
The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. A. Glendinning.
