Notes: THE PARIS NEWS Fri., Oct. 29, 1993, p.16A. 'Earl Abbott, 64, 330-39th SE, died Thursday, Oct. 28, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. O.D. Robertson and the Rev. Harvey Blackshear officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Abbott was born March 27, 1929, at Taylortown, a son of Sam and Vada Spears Abbott. He married Dorotha Hindman Feb. 14, 1962, in Paris. He graduated from Paris High School in 1947 and attended Paris Junior College. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after working 38 years with the right of way department. Surviving are his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Zara Westbrook of Plano; one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Bobby Floyd of Paris; two granddaughters, Natalie Floyd of Paris and Alexis Wastbrook of Plano; a niece and nephew, Cyndy Abbott Lightfoot and Ronnie Abbott, both of Paris. He was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Abbott. Pallbearers will be John Wright, Mark Dale, Jerry Loven, Odis Northam, Herman Briggs and Howard Grounds.'
