died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at his residence. Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at
Collins-Burke Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Joy
cemetery. Jerry Burton will officiate. Visitation will
be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter,
Janet Abbott; mother, Ada C. McNeal; father,
Marion Curtis Abbott; brothers, John & Herman;
Sister, Vivian, Etta, Ethel and Ruby.
Clarence is survived by his special friend & wife
of 32 yrs, Lear Deeton; Special friend, Brenda Leavins;
Daughters, Kathy Blackwell (Monroe), Charlene
Robertson (Johnny) and Myra Haley (Wayne), all of
Jasper, Alabama; Sister, Gaynell Myers of Jasper, AL.
Brothers, Arnold Abbott and Curtis Abbott, both of
Jasper, AL, seven grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Robertson,
Michael Estill, Jr., Justin Estill, David Farley,
Chris Williams and Ernest Smith.
