On Saturday, May 8, 2010, our Heavenly Father needed our loving mother, Virginia Ann Abbott, 73, of Alexander to come home.
She was born July 11, 1936 in McArthur, Arkansas, to her parents John Robert and Cora Osborne McIntosh. Mrs. Abbott was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and Harmony Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Billy McIntosh; two sisters, Edna "Mac" Hayes and Bettye Thomasen.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Abbott of Alexander; four sons, Bobby Abbott, Timmy Abbott, Jebby Abbott and wife Mary, Allen Abbott and wife Milda; three daughters, Debbie Ashton and husband Butch, Gay Mayfield and husband William, Fay Perry and husband Jerry; three sisters, Peggye Jeanne Burt of Houston, Texas, Faye Girod of Leslie, Arkansas and Gaye Dill of Greenbrier, Arkansas. She had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Butler Cemetery Fund, 12719 Pine Ridge Road, Alexander, Arkansas 72002.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11th, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Butler Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Williams will be officiating.
