Abbey, Arthur R, 80, of Dallas, TX passed away June 8, 2019 in Dallas, TX. His love and laughter will live on through his family and friends. Art was born Aug 17, 1938 in Grover, CO to Arthur and Katherine Abbey.

His happiest times were on the golf course, being entertained by motor sports and football, traveling- especially to Cheyenne, or indulging in a new book while enjoying the outdoors. Art worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 38 years as a Provider Relations Rep. He loved his country and was very proud that he served in the US Navy from 1958-1965. He married the love of his Life, Kayleen May Floyd July 8, 1958 in Boise, ID. Art was a warm & loving man that was a wonderful provider for his family.

He was preceded in death by wife, Kay Abbey, daughter Sharon Ulrich, sister Barbara Ann Abbey. He is survived by daughter Janet Miller and husband Todd of Nevada, TX, son Greg Abbey and wife Lynnette of Allen, TX, eight grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Lynda Torsiello, four nephews and their families. Also survived by special friend, Josephine Ferguson “Jo”. Art and Jo shared lots of fun times traveling and sharing a wonderful life for the last 7 years.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Jun 19, 2019, 2:30PM at Restland Memorial Chapel. Rosary will be Tuesday 5:30PM with Visitation to follow at 6-8PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland.
