Aaron Abbey, 84, died at his home, 106 Upton Street, East Syracuse, Wednesday night. He is one of the last of the surviving members of the Ben Higgins Post, G.A.R.
For many years he conducted a shoes shop in East Syracuse. During the Civil War he served in Company D 149th Infantry. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Belle Mahar, and two granddaughters Mrs. Robert V. Clark and Miss Hazel Mahar.
