Phyllis M. (Cyrus) Aasen, 83, of Mayville, ND, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville.
Phyllis was born on December 4, 1923, rural Hatton, ND, where she grew up and graduated from the Hatton High School.
She married Lloyd Norstebon July 23, 1942 at Crookston, MN. The couple lived near Portland, ND and she worked at Mayville Drycleaners for about 20 years. Lloyd died on December 24, 1963.
Phyllis married David Aasen on September 17, 1965 at Crookston, MN. They continued living near Portland. Later, she worked at the Mayville Laundromat for 20 years. David died September 7, 1993.
After retiring, Phyllis resided in Portland until moving to the Luther Memorial Home in 2006. She was a member of Aurdal Lutheran Church of Portland and the Portland Senior Citizens. Phyllis enjoyed weaving rugs, board games, gardening, boat rides with David and her many dogs throughout her life.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Richard Norstebon, of Galesburg, ND.
She is preceded in death by her husbands and her mother, Ragna (Olson) Cyrus.
