Betty “Sue” Dempsey Aaron was born on November 16, 1934 in Wink, Texas to E.S. (Jack) Dempsey and Willie Mae Hill Dempsey. She was the youngest of 3 children; big sister, Margaret or “Madge” and big brother, Richard Earl. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, William Roy (Bill) Aaron, when he accepted a dinner invitation from her daddy at their home. After a brief courting and engagement, they were married on June 27, 1952 in Eunice, New Mexico. Three years later, a daughter, Stephanie Suzanne, was born in February of 1955 and six years later they completed their family with a son, Stephen Roy, born in May of 1961. Being an oilfield family, they moved many times to various parts of Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Bill and Sue were married 41 years when he passed in 1993. During her almost 81 years of life, Sue enjoyed being a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, Girl Scout leader, an Eastern Star, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Some of her many hobbies included reading, sewing, ceramics, crocheting, bowling, dolls, crafts, gardening, shopping, watching cooking shows, old westerns and other various movies, babysitting her grandbabies, and playing a variety of games, but especially cards, dominoes and Yahtzee. In addition to her hobbies, she loved Betty Boop, frogs, hummingbirds, and Tweety Bird. Sue is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Michael Pagel, son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Pam Aaron; Grandchildren, Christie Cassidy, Angela McDonald, Joshua Aaron, Matthew Aaron, Timothy Aaron; Great Grandchildren, Christopher & Kevin McDonald, Courtney and Cage Cassidy, Brody Lowery, and Colt Aaron; Grandson in laws, Paul Cassidy and Ricky McDonald; Granddaughter in laws, Brittany Aaron, Ashli Aaron, and Nichole Aaron. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2015 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 5, 2015 at the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with interment following at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Joshua Aaron, Matthew Aaron, Timothy Aaron, Ricky McDonald, Paul Cassidy and Christopher McDonald.
