STOUGHTON/EDGERTON -- Almer O. Aalseth, age 87, of Route 1, Aalseth Ln., Stoughton, died on Saturday, May 10, 1980. He was born in Stoughton on January 4, 1893, the son of Ole & Julia Aalseth. In 1918, he married the former Bernice Torgeson, & she preceded him in death in 1954. In 1957, he married Florence Jacques, and she preceded him in death in 1962. He owned & operated a jewelry store in Edgerton for 30 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, a 50 member of Fulton Masonic Lodge, Edgerton, the Edgerton Rotary Club, Knights of Pythias, and the Eastern Star. He also served on the Edgerton School Board for 13 years, and was a director of the National Bank of Edgerton for 32 years. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Betty) Fink of Wheaton, Illinois; two sisters, Eleanor Conway of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. John Sonderegger of Madison; three grandchildren, Michael J. Timbers of Bethesda, Maryland, Stephen B. Timbers of New York New York, and Judith Timbers of Honolulu, Hawaii; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Reverend Harold Peterson will officiate. Masonic services will be conducted by the Fulton Masonic Lodge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Skaalen Home.
