EDGERTON -- Mrs. Almer Aalseth, 58, 413 W. Rollin St., Edgerton, died this morning in Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
The former Bernice Torgerson was born June 5, 1893 in Stoughton and was graduated from Stoughton High School in 1913. She was married to Mr. Aalseth on Oct. 10, 1918 in Stoughton.
The couple came to Edgerton in March, 1919. He was engaged in the jewelry business until his retirement several years ago.
Mrs. Aalseth was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Daughters of the King, Order of the Eastern Star, OES Past Matrons and the Progressive Study Club and was a former charter member of the Pythian Sisters.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James Timbers, Short Hills, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry L. Olson, Stoughton, and Mrs. George L. Clarke, Madison; and three grandchildren, Michael, Steven and Judy Timbers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, the Rev. Leo L. Duerson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton. Friends may call at the Ellingson Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday and until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, when the body will be removed to the church.
