According to "Early Cemeteries and Gravestones: Elbert County Georgia 1798-1919" compiled by the Elbert County Historical Society in 1984 his grave is located in the Thomas Adams graveyard somewhere off Brewers Mill Rd.
Subsequently, the grave site was located and the memorial confirmed in a serene hill-top setting off of Brewers Mill Rd. The site is located on private property and access is restricted.
