ST. JOSEPH — Mrs. Willie Vance Spruill, 82, of St. Joseph, died Thursday afternoon at her residence here after a lengthy illness.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be announced by First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Spruill was a charter member of First Baptist Church of St. Joseph.

Survivors include one son, James C. Spruill of New Roads; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Moore of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Helen Woods of Ruston; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Lunsford of St. Joseph and Mrs. Hattie Davis of Calhoun City, Miss.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
