Son of Charles Pearson and Minnie Leonore Christensen Hilton.
Charles majored in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Utah. He was Industrial Relations Manager for the Western Operation of the United States Smelting, Refining and Mining Company. Charles was very civic minded and served on many councils and committees. Among them were the Mining Section of the National Safety Council, Utah State Dept. of Employment Security Advisory Council, American Red Cross Disaster Chairman, and Delegate for the Republican Party. A member of the LDS church, he married Alice Nicholson Cope in the Salt Lake Temple on March 4, 1932. They are the parents of three daughters.
