Joanne Ellen Horton, 65, of Brookfield died on Tuesday, February 26th at Danbury Hospital. She was born November 23, 1947, daughter of the late Margaret (Hennessey) Kundrat.
Joanne was a graduate of Danbury High School and a resident of Brookfield for the past 40 years. She was employed with Kimberly Clark of New Milford for 26 years.
Joanne will be missed by her sons, Kevin Horton and his wife Gail, Rick Horton and his wife Sheri both of Brookfield, Lee Horton and his wife Sheila of New Fairfield and Paul Horton and his wife Lisa of Belmar, NJ; her grandchildren, Ryan Horton and Skylar and Savanna Horton of Brookfield, Tara and Michelle Horton of Belmar, NJ and Ashley and Lee Horton of New Fairfield. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Tita and her husband William of Danbury and her brother Michael Kundrat of his wife Dianne of Gilbert, AZ.
She will also be missed by her lifelong and special friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vincent Rella and his staff, the caring staff of 11 East (Oncology Unit) and the caring staff of the Praxair Center at Danbury Hospital. May God grant you the choicest of blessings.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM on Friday, March 1st at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. A burial will follow at a later date in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 and 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Praxair Cancer Center of Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Ave, Danbury, CT 06810.
