Ronald E. Rohren, 81, of Moline, passed away Oct. 28, 2016, at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
Ronald was born Feb. 14, 1935, in East Moline, the son of Edward and Betty Goday Rohren. He married Sondra Patterson on May 15, 1959, in Moline. Ronald worked at American Machine and Metal and Roth Machine and later retired from John Deere Technical Center. He was a member of the Moline Turners and Moline Vikings Clubs and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Ronald also loved fishing with his daughters and granddaughters.
Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Burke, Rock Island, Jean (Mike) Cotten, Seaford, Del., and Linda (Rob) Kenny, Peoria; grandchildren, Allison Kenny and Rachel Kenny, both of Peoria, and Samantha Cotten, Seaford; sisters, Sandra Cook, Moline, and Carolyn Sandoval, Colona.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
