Lance Edward Edge

Lance E. Edge, 70, was born to Marjorie and Dewey Edge, Sr. in Floridatown, Florida. He was the youngest of seven children. He lost his courageous battle with cancer on September 5, 2012. Lance was a wonderful husband, son, father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend who was loved immensely and will be forever missed. In addition, Lance loved life and lived life to the fullest.
Lance married Anne Ingram on November 29, 1963. They would have been married for 49 years this November. Lance worked at Air Products Chemical Company in Pace, Florida, for almost 40 years, until his retirement in 2003. Lance loved all outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Dewey Jr. and William Edge, and Jimmy Edge, a brother who died in early childhood.
He is survived by Anne, his wife of 48 years, one brother, Robert, and two sisters, Mildred (Dewey) Hatcher, and Dorothy Franklin. In addition, he is survived by his three children: Dianne (Phil) Wolfe, Donna (Henry) Jones, and Valerie (Jerry) Lee; six grandchildren: Brianna, Ashton, and Carson Wolfe, Brooke Moore, Ryan Nabors, and Victoria Browning; three great grandchildren: Lexis Simmons and Destiny and Landen Qualls.
The family would like to thank Dr. Eldawy and the staff at the Cancer Center at Sacred Heart Hospital for their loving care.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel with Rev. Matt Cotton and Rev. Chet Keating, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 - 7:30PM Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
