Elizabeth Lane Doherty, 51 of Gainesville died Sunday October 7, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in La Grange, Georgia, Mrs. Doherty had lived in Hall County for a number of years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Doherty, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law; Jeannie and Terry Taylor, Decatur, Alabama; sons and daughters-in-law; Willis and Jessica Allen, Ozark, Alabama; Chris and Haley Allen, Ellijay, Georgia; grandchildren; Jordan D. Allen, Jayden L. Kilcoyne, Chanzon Z. Kilcoyne, Evelyn R. Allen, Madison N. Allen, Devin C. Allen, expected January 19, 2013, Kaleb Allen, Noah Allen, Aiden Allen, Ashley Russell, T.J. Taylor, Makayla Taylor, Keren Taylor and Kaitlyn Taylor; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Eddie Jenkins, Smith Station, Alabama; brother and sister-in-law; Richard and Angel Heath, Boise, Idaho; aunt, Sarah Beverly, Phenix City, Alabama. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Doherty is preceded in death by her parents; Richard, Sr., and Jeaneen Strickland Heath.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 12, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Ken Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday October 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m.
