Rafael Angel Quinones Betancourt, 85, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO. He was the son of Augustine Quinones and Belen Betancourt. Rafael was a 30 year, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and received numerous medals including the Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. He was a member American Legion Post 117, VFW Post 4546 in Palm Bay, the Blue Badge Association of Combat Veterans, 40 and 8, and the Spanish American Veterans Association. Preceded in death by his brother, Jorge, surviving are his wife, Amelia (married May 1954); children, Rafael, Jr., Danny, Danae and Darryl; brother, Augustin; sister, Belencita Oliver and his grandson, Jayson. Services will be held January 11, 2013 at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay followed by Military Honors. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on January 10, 2013
