Arthur Linward Hicks of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 19, 2010 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached the age of eighty one years, nine months and twenty one days. He was born on July 28, 1928 at Steelville, Missouri a son to the late Arthur Lee Hicks and Deveta (Wymer) Hicks.
On December 31, 1949, Arthur was united in marriage to Kathryn Bishop and they shared sixty years together.
Arthur was a member of the Lakewood Baptist Church and International Order of Oddfellows.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Kathryn Hicks of Potosi; two daughters Susan Ottinger and husband Ron of St. Charles; Donna O�Neil and husband Tim of Columbia; son Steven Hicks and wife Krista of Potosi; three brothers Edward Hicks of Florissant; Billy Hicks of St. Charles, Doris Hicks of Sullivan; and one sister Viola Chitwood of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Brother Enlow officiating. Interment and final prayers were held at Anthonies Mill Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
