Marilyn Kay Browning, 50, of 1207 W. Largent St., Harrisburg, died 7:07 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Harrisburg to the late Willie and Thelma Dee (Penrod) Stone. On June 29, 1996, she married William Ronnie "Bill" Browning, who survives.
She was a sewing machine operator at Heartland USA and Nationwide Glove Company. She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, William J. "B.J." (Carla) Browning of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Lisa Jo (Thelm) Thell of St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, Randy (Lorie) Cox, Chris Cox and Jeremy (Erin) Cox, all of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; six sisters, Alberta Wright of Harrisburg, Wanda (Gene) Reed of Marion, June (Darold) Winkleman of Beaver Dam, Ky., Naomi (Paul) Rogers of Lake of Egypt, Ann (David) Hinant of Harrisburg, Cindy Messamore (and Dwight Boulds) of Harrisburg and two brothers, Willie (Carol) Stone of Annandale, Va., and Bobby (Kris) Stone of Carrier Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Stone, in infancy. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
