Mrs. Sarah L. Clark, widow of Edward Clark died at her home one mile northwest of Anderson Tuesday morning, March 8th, and was laid to rest in Beaver Springs cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moreland and was born at Miller, Mo., July 22, 1865. She was 72 years, 7 months, and 16 days old at the time of her death. She was married at the age of 19 years to Isaac Dement who died at an early age, leaving one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Kinslow, who survives her
mother. A few years later she married Edward Clark, who
passed away in 1925, leaving three daughters, Mrs. Ida Meredith of Safford, Arizona, Mrs. Ila Sherwood of Anderson, Mo., and Mrs. Aretha Owens of Garber
Okla. One daughter, Mrs. Gladys Carter, passed on a few years ago; also a son and daughter passed on in infancy. The Clarks came to Anderson some 40 years ago and were widely known. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson for many years. She was ill only a few hours and had many friends who mourn her death. Funeral services were held at the Anderson Baptist church Wednesday at 2 p.m.
