My great Uncle Vincent Lee.
Uncle Vincent served in the Navy during WW2. My father looks alot like him. I once heard a story about his experience in World War 2. He was on-board a Navy ship (I don't know the name as yet), he and a shipmate were on the deck of the ship and they were under attack. A torpedo was heading straight for the side of the ship. All he and his shipmate could do was pray as it was too late for the ship to take evasive action. Suddenly a huge swell came and lifted the entire ship up and the torpedo passed underneath. All hands were safe that day. Another time my uncle had just left a anti-aircraft gun on the deck and just a few moments later a kamikaze plane flew into it. He somehow survived all this during World War 2.

Uncle Vincent John Lee was born in Denby SD,(family records show him as being born on May 30th) he passed away in Rapid City SD. He was married to a woman by the name of Myrtle Allman (b. July ? d. ?)
He was father to Reginald "Sonny" Lee (deceased from Leukemia while serving in the US Navy). Phyllis Lee Engleman, Doris Lee, Loretta Lee, Dorothy Lee.
