Major League Baseball Player. He was a pitcher, outfielder and 1st Baseman for the Louisville Eclipse and Grays, also the Pittsburgh Alleghenys. While with Louisville, He established two records which are still standing in base ball history, and one that of which never has been duplicated, On August 15 1886, Mr. Hecker scored seven runs in a nine inning game. He was the first man to play a full nine inning game at first base without having a putout. He also pitched a no hitter on Sept. 19 1882, and bested Pittsburgh 3 to 1. Also, while in Louisville, He won 52 games in 1882. Mr. Hecker was the manager of the Pittsburgh Alleghenys in 1890.
