Carl Austin Hall
Birth: Jul. 1, 1919
Missouri, USA
Death: Dec. 18, 1953
Jefferson City
Cole County
Missouri, USA

In 1933, Carl Austin Hall attended the Kemper Military School in Booneville Missouri, with Paul Robert Greenlease, the adopted son of a wealthy Cadillac dealer in Kansas City Missouri. This per chance meeting gave Hall an idea of a big score. On September 18, 1953, Bonnie Heady, Hall's girlfriend kidnapped Robert Cosgrove Greenlease Jr., and a short time later, Carl Austin Hall shot 6 yr old Bobby Greenlease in the head. A $600,000 ransom was collected by Heady and Hall, and they fled to St. Louis Missouri. They were arrested there, Bobby Greenlease's body was recovered, where it had been buried behind Bonnie Heady's house in St. Joseph Missouri. Heady and Hall were tried and convicted, and executed on the 81st day after the kidnapping/murder, in the gas chamber of the Missouri State Penitentiary. (bio by: Bill Walker)
