Death:	Aug. 24, 1914
New Hampshire Governor. Born in Colebrook, he was Governor from 1901 to 1903. Prior to being elected Governor on the Republican ticket, he served in the state legislature as Speaker of the House from 1880 to 1882 and served as President of the Senate from 1896 to 1898. He retired to his law practice in Lancaster where he died.
