R&B Musician. He was the founder and the bass guitar player for the legendary group The Gap Band. He began playing music with his brothers Charlie and Ronnie as early as 1967 under the name Greenwood, Archer, and Pine Street Band. In 1973 their name changed to The Gap Band. He was considered by many as the "Godfather of Bass Guitar". They had numerous chart hits including Early In the Morning, Party Train, and You Dropped A Bomb on Me. He was the cousin to musician Bootsy Collins. (bio by: Babe)
