Author. A native of Kitchener, Ontario, she was the author the "Food That Really Schmecks" cookbook series, as well as several non-fiction books and numerous articles for such publications as Macleans, Saturday Night, Canadian Living. Staebler received her B.A. from the University of Toronto, and graduated from the Ontario College of Education. She also created the annual Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-Fiction in addition to many scholarships and bursaries.
