United States Army Soldier. He is listed by the United States Department of Defense as being the last American military casualty of the 2003-2011 Iraq War. He served in the conflict as a Specialist in the 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, and died on November 14, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered after encountering an improvised explosive device.
