Better known as Evy, her work on Capitol Hill led her through nine presidential administrations as she lobbied for the Garment Workers Union and the lives of America's working men and women. Working tirelessly as an activist, she earned the respect of allies as well as opponents improving working conditions towards increasing minimum wage, better health care, and lowering the voting age to 18 during the Vietnam era.
