William Anderson

Death: Mar. 11, 1908

Peacetime Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Navy at New York. He served as a Coxswain. His citation reads "On board the USS Powhatan, 28 July 1878. Acting courageously, Anderson rescued from drowning W.H. Moffatt, first class boy". (bio by: Don Morfe)
