Noted Bluegrass Musician. He made special guest appearances on Ernest Tubbs' Midnight Jamboree on WSM radio in Nashville, Tennessee, the Wheeling Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia, and the Grand Ole Opry. In 1968 he received a recording contract with REM Records where he recorded nine single records and four albums under the name 'Les Hall and the Mastertones.' He played the mandolin, guitar, banjo dobro guitar, fiddle and bass without reading music. (bio by: Robert "Rob" Weller)
