Leo "Lei" Clijsters
Birth: Nov. 9, 1956
Death: Jan. 4, 2009

International Soccer Star. He appeared in 40 international matches as a member of the Belgian national team, including the 1984 UEFA European Football Championship finals, and the 1986 and 1990 FIFA World Cups. In 1988 he was named Belgium's player of the year, leading FC Mechelen to the European Cup Winners Cup over Ajax of the Dutch National Football League. He retired from the sport in 2003 to coach his daughter Kim's tennis career, a former number one ranked international player and winner of the 2005 US Open Tennis Championship. (bio by: Nils M.
