Sir Rowland Hill
Birth: Dec. 3, 1795
Death: Aug. 27, 1879

Postal Pioneer. He was born at Kidderminster in Worcestershire (where his statue still stands) the man credited with the invention of the modern postal service. He wrote reform for pre-printed envelopes and adhesive stamps.
He is buried in Westminster Abbey. This location is a cenotaph. (bio by: Gregory Speciale)
