Death: Jan. 2, 2008

Disney Artist, Imagineer. She was an inker on many of Disney classics of the 1950s, including "Cinderella", "Peter Pan" and "Sleeping Beauty", and she was the lead ink artist for 1955's "Lady and the Tramp". But her biggest claim to fame was as designer of the models for the enduringly popular "It's a Small World" attractions. She originally helped set up the animatronic spectacle at the 1964 World's Fair and then recreated it at Disneyland and other Disney parks worldwide. She was the first woman in Walt Disney Co. history to reach 50 and then 55 years of service to the organization. She retired in 2000 but remained a part-time Imagineer at Walt Disney World in Orlando until 2006.  (bio by: Ron Moody)
