Linda Havens Adams was born and raised in Ogdensburg, NY, the only daughter of Oris and Hortence Spooner Havens. Linda was preceded in death by her mother soon after her 2nd birthday. Her father later remarried Eleanor Martin and they soon started a family with 2 children, Cheryl Havens (Rolfe) and Christopher Havens.
Linda's grandmother, Antionette Spooner, played a significant role in her upbringing and Linda had a deep and profound love for her grandmother. She mourned greatly when her grandmother passed away in 1972.
After a whirlwind romance, Linda married Larry Edward Adams on August 18, 1962, in New York. Larry, the son of Eugene Adams and Hettie McCabe Adams, was born and raised in Cleveland, OK. After traveling around the country with Larry's work, Linda and Larry settled in a new home in Cleveland.
Soon after settling in Cleveland, Linda and Larry gave birth to their first son, Derek Edward; 9 months later another son, Anthony Eugene, was born. A short year later, Linda and Larry gave birth to their 3rd son, Cornell Ernest. Linda devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising her children. She surrounded herself with numerous and life-long friends whom she loved dearly. Linda was a force to be reckoned with and was not shy about speaking her mind on any topic. Equally, Linda was a beautiful woman who took great pride in her appearance and enjoyed dressing to the nines for nights out on the town. Linda was well known for her acumen with billiards and it was quite spectacular watching her play a round.
