SERVICES SET FOR MYRTLE ARNDT
ALVA – Funeral services for Myrtle Arndt, 86, who died Thursday night [December 29, 1966] in a local hospital, will be Monday in the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Allen officiating. Burial will follow in White Horse Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1880, in Paola, Kan., and came to Woods County in 1893, shortly after the strip was opened, and had made her home on a farm west of Alva.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include four sons, Lawrence, Roland, Orwyn, and Ralph, all of Alva; two daughters, Mrs. Revenna Rose and Mrs. Beulah Shafer, both of Alva; 26 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
