Clifford Austell Boyd, 84, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Family Care Center in Kingston, Oklahoma. Clifford was born September 28, 1922, in Center, Oklahoma to Clyde and Sarah Ann Gill Boyd. He grew up in the Ada area, and later moved to Oklahoma City, before moving to Yukon in 1964. Clifford worked for Brown Mfg. Company in Oklahoma City as a Superintendent. He also worked as a truck driver before retiring in 1987 and moving to the Bumcombe Creek area. Clifford married Judy Hill on July 15, 2002. She preceded him in death in 2004. He lived his last few years at the Baptist retirement village. Clifford was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madill and he enjoyed his vegetable garden, fishing and country music.
He is survived by daughters Melinda and husband Tom Snyder, OKC, OK., Machelle and husband Mark McDaniel, Tulsa, OK.; 2 sisters Edith Lumpkin, Tulsa, OK., Hazel Lasiter, Kingston, OK.; Brother Lewis Boyd, Rohnert Park, CA.; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy, 1 great grandson, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Casket bearers will be John Evans, Tom Snyder, Todd Snyder, Mark McDaniel, Doyle Blakely, Dale Cherry
Funeral services will be Tue. August 7, 2007 , 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, Madill, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Wells Valley Cemetery, Bromide, Oklahoma.
