WANETTE resident Dwain Adams, 60, died Sunday, Nov. 30, in Shawnee.
He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Shattuck to Howell Jeptha and Elzy Lomeda (Hogue) Adams.
Adams was a 1961 graduate of John Marshal High School and attended Central State College.
On Jan. 4, 1963, he married Donna Harkins.
He worked 40 years in construction with his last position being with McSha Properties as a construction superintendent. He also served as the chief of the Tribbey Fire Department.
He was a member of the McKiddyville Friendly Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer Adams; and sister-in-law, Marie Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Adams, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Kim Adams of Tribbey; daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Russell McCaslin of Tribbey and Katie and Butch Francis of Tribbey; grandchildren, Ryan, Rusty, Ryan Allan, Tosha, Amber, Brandon and Dylan McCaslin, Andrew and Kelsey Adams, Chris, Justin and Stephen Francis, and Cody, Courtney, Colt and Caleb Looper; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy Stephens of Prague, Ninah and Jerry Poppin of Wellston and Lori Hudgins of Tecumseh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Ann Adams of Cobb, Ga., and J.B. and Mary Adams of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Mildred Harkins of Tribbey; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roy Jordan officiating.
Burial will be at WANETTE Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is in charge of arrangements.
