Lou Etta was one of six children born to William R. and Sarah Ann South Bradford.

The other children were: James Patrick, Lavena Elizabeth, Oscar M., Mattie and Cora Bell Bradford.

She married James Andrew Chilcoat December 23, 1897 in Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama.

They had the following children: Annie Lee, Iva Belle, Meathel Leora, Johnny Melton, Miller Monroe, Lily Ruth, Benjamin Franklin and Baby Girl Chilcoat.

Lou Etta died in childbirth along with her baby daughter. They are buried together here at this cemetery.
