ROBERT "BOB" OEHLER
April 15, 1902 ~ January 14, 1988

Robert "Bob" Oehler, 85, a former Broken Bow resident, died Thursday at his home in Blanchard.

Oehler was born April 15, 1902, in Charlotte, N. C. He moved to Broken Bow in 1919 and was a rock mason and farmer in the area for a number of years. He was a member of the Broken Bow Presbyterian Church.

After the death of his wife and at a time of failing health, he moved to Blanchard where he lived the remainder of his life.

Surviving are two sons, Ruben Frank Oehler, Blanchard, and Billy Ray Oehler, Broken Bow; one daughter, Bobby Shuffield, Cleburne, Texas; two brothers, Herman "Sim" Oehler, Broken Bow, and Jack Oehler, Lawton; two sisters, Eunice Hite, Ada, and Ruth Morris, Broken Bow; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Broken Bow Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Eugene Strickland officiating, assisted by the Rev. Wayne Shuffield. Burial will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery in Broken Bow under direction of the Norwood Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
