Graveside services for Billie Mae "Biggen" Elkins, are 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Sellers Mission Cemetery, Welling, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Reverends Jim Land and Nelson Cummins. Arrangements have been under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at

Billie Mae Elkins was born September 24, 1948, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to W. B. Green and Katie (Dick) Green. She passed on November 17, 2013, in Commerce, Oklahoma at the age of 65.

Billie known to all as "Biggen" attended Pigeon School in the Burnt Cabin Area before attending Tahlequah High School.

She had always been involved in church activities, and preparing meals for those in need, taking care of those who needed help. She attended Cherokee Home Mission for many years and then later attended Community Christian Fellowship Church.

She enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking for the deer hunters in the fall, and picking polk salad and blueberries. At her home at Eastwood Manor she was glad to help other residents whenever she could.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Johnnie Mae Green and Jessie Lee Young; a brother, Claud Lee Green; and infant son, Bobby Ray Elkins.

She is survived by her three children, "Sambo" John Elkins and wife Mary of Qualls, OK, Katie Snow and husband Stacy of Miani, OK, and "Bully" Carlis Elkins and wife Sydney of Welling, OK; sisters, Mary Ann Walker and husband Richard of Tulsa, OK, and twin, Willie Mae Hall, of Broken Arrow, OK; two brothers, Floyd Green and wife Betty of Collinsville, OK, and W.B. Green Jr. and wife Inez of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; as well as many other extended family members, friends and loved ones.
